Ardeshir "Amir" Ghalenoei (Persian: امیر قلعه‌نویی; born 22 November 1963 in Tehran, Iran) is an Iranian football coach and former player who currently manages Iran national football team. He has been the most successful coach in the Iran Pro League and managed several clubs, including Esteghlal, Mes Kerman, Sepahan S.C. and Tractor, with two of which he won a total of five championships and two Hazfi Cup titles. He was also the head coach of Iran national football team from August 2006 to July 2007 where he managed the team for the 2007 AFC Asian Cup where Iran was eliminated in the quarter-finals.

Ardeshir (Amir) Ghalenoei was born on 21 November 1963 in Tehran, Iran. His father, a taxi driver, died when Amir was only thirteen years old. He began his career in the late 1970s after passing a technical test for Rah Ahan, one of the oldest clubs in the Iranian football. Karriere als Trainer

In der Saison 2005/06 führte er den iranischen Verein Esteghlal Teheran, für den er einst gespielt hatte, zur Meisterschaft in der Iranian Pro League. Am 17. Juli 2007 wurde er als Nachfolger des KroatenBranko Ivanković Nationaltrainer der iranischen Nationalmannschaft. Nach dem Viertelfinale im Asiencup 2007 schied Ghalenoei als Trainer aus.

Nach Verhandlungen mit dem usbekischen Meister FC Pakhtakor Taschkent unterschrieb er am 1. Januar 2008 einen Vertrag beim iranischen Verein Mes Kerman. 2008 kehrte er zum Esteghlal zurück und wiederholte seinen Erfolg von 2006. Nach seinem Wechsel zu Sepahan Isfahan wurde er mit diesem Klub zweimal in Folge Meister.
