Gary Anderson 1959-2025

Gary Dean Anderson, 65 of Meriden, passed away peacefully in the early morning of Jan. 19, 2025, at home.

He was born Aug. 25, 1959, in Topeka, the son of Jack and Charlene Pappan Anderson.

As a child, his family moved around the country living in and around small towns in northeast Kansas, as well as in Gower, Mo., and Falls City, Neb., before settling down in the summer of 1973 on the Prairie Band Potawatomi Reservation near Hoyt, where he was a 1978 graduate of Royal Valley High School. While in high school he was very active in FFA, winning several awards for his judging, working at Holton Cemetery and Suttons Grocery Store. By first semester of his senior year, he had enough credits to graduate early and began his career at Hallmark Cards on Jan. 23, 1978. He worked in stationery, packaging and large die cut, and when low on work, he helped in the warehouse and ended in foil stamp as a Triple Thompson operator, retiring Aug. 31, 2015.

Hallmark is where he met a young lady who would eventually become his wife. Gary married Leslie Hinchsliff on Sept.

Garry Dean Anderson

Garry Dean Anderson passed away the morning of June 12th, 2023 at the age of 69 at his home.

Garry was born April 19th, 1954 in Hay Springs, NE in the old folks home and maternity ward to Donald D. and Patsy A. (Foreman) Anderson.

Garry grew up splitting time between Hay Springs, NE and Casper, WY. He graduated from Natrona County High School in 1973. Garry joined the Army later that year and proudly served as a mechanic in the combat engineers. He also received a National Service Medal for sharpshooter (rifle). He was honorably discharged in 1976.

In December, at the Ranch-City Party in Casper, he met Alice Edwards. They had a whirlwind time and were engaged in February 1977 and married on April 30th, 1977. In July of 1978 their first son, Garry Dean Jr. was born and in 1980 Brent was born. Everything Garry did was for his family. Garry worked as a mechanic for most of his life, and loved it.

Garry was a member of Boyd Avenue Baptist Church. He served as a deacon and served wherever needed.

The highlight of his life was harassing his grandchildren!
