    This was the story of Lekh Tandon’s life: his films got recognition. He didn’t. Lekh Tandon was one of our most prolific and underrated directors. His range stretched from the playful Professor to the magical Dulhan Wohi Jo Piya Man Bhaye to the illogical Jahan Pyar Mile. His most celebrated film was the historical Amrapali (1966), which recreated the legendary romance between Amrapali, the courtesan, played by Vyjayanthimala, and Ajayshatru, the emperor of Magadh, played by Sunil Dutt. The film’s opulence and periodicity had stunned the world then as it continues to do now.

    Nakash Aziz (born 24 February 1985),[1] also known as Nakash, is an Indian composer and singer. He has worked as an assistant to composer A. R. Rahman on films such as Highway, Raanjhanaa, Rockstar, Delhi 6 and I (Hindi dubbed). He is known for playback performances of songs like "Jabra Fan" from Fan,[2] "Sari Ke Fall Sa" and "Gandi Baat" from the film R... Rajkumar (2013) and "Dhating Nach" from film Phata Poster Nikhla Hero (2013).[3]

    Early life

    Aziz is originally from Moodabidri, a taluk centre of Mangaluru in Dakshina Kannada district.[4] He belongs to a family of singers. He worked as a composer for jingles and devotional albums before becoming a playback singer. He married Ruby Shaikh in August, 2020. He now lives in Mumbai with his family.[4]
