Biography 1 – Introduction

Real name Peter Wright, born in Fleetwood the 2nd son of the deep sea trawler skipper and Master Mariner Nicholas Wright who held the rank of Commander in the RNVR and Captained a patrol boat in the channel during the Battle of Britain in the 2nd World War.

His Welsh born Mother Lucy, was an accomplished musician and soprano vocalist who sang at the International Eisteddfod in Llangollen. Among his earliest memories whilst still in his pram, were of her singing whilst about her housework, thus giving him his love of music.

Perhaps not surprisingly, he too became a singer & actor, taking private singing lessons from the finest teachers on the Fylde coast as well as studying music, drama and dance, at the famous Chesters stage academy in Fleetwood, going on to take lead roles whilst still a teenager in pantomime and summer shows at the Marine Hall in Fleetwood, as well as acting in various plays both there and in Blackpool.

Orin Glenn Troutman (October 24, 1934 – March 18, 2022), known professionally as Glen Glenn, was an American rockabilly singer, whose career began in the early 1950s and continued for several decades.

Life and career

He was born in Joplin, Missouri, and relocated with his parents to San Dimas, California, in 1948. In the early 1950s, he formed a duo with guitarist Gary Lambert, called the Missouri Mountain Boys, and began playing country music in bars in Los Angeles. They soon began performing on local television shows, and met singer and guitarist Eddie Cochran, who became a formative influence. Glenn Alan Medeiros (born June 24, 1970) is an American former singer best known for his 1987 George Benson cover, "Nothing's Gonna Change My Love for You", which reached No. 12 on the US BillboardHot 100 and topped the charts in Canada and the United Kingdom. It also topped the charts in a further four countries in Europe. In 2009, the song was used in France in a television advert for Spontex sponges.[1]

In 1988, he followed that single with "Un Roman d'amitié (Friend You Give Me a Reason)", a duet with Elsa Lunghini which achieved huge success in France where it managed to top the chart for six consecutive weeks, and remained on the Top 50 chart for 25 weeks.[2] In 1990, Medeiros also collaborated with R&B artist Bobby Brown for the hit "She Ain't Worth It", a certified-Gold US and international chart-topper.
