American ichthyologist

Leonard Peter Schultz (1901–1986) was an American ichthyologist.

Biography

Schultz was born in 1901, at Albion, Michigan. He received education on ichthyology at Albion College, in which he got his bachelor's degree, in 1924. In 1926, he got his master's degree from the University of Michigan, and then in 1932 from the University of Washington. From 1928 till 1936, he taught at the College of Fisheries at University of Washington. He was appointed as an assistant curator at the Division of Fishes of the United States National Museum.[1] During the same year he joined Smithsonian Institution, where he remained till retirement in 1968.[2] In 1938 he became a curator of the Division. While in retirement, he continued to work as a Research Associate of the Division of Fishes.[1]

He was one of the scientists that was sent to work for the U.S. Navy, on Operation Crossroads, that was conducted at the Bikini Atoll in 1946. Aside from testing an atomic bomb during the operation, he also collected

Lenny, as we all called him, was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. He attended Raritan High School in Hazlet, New Jersey through his sophomore year where he played varsity football, wrestling and basketball. In 1981, he transferred his talents over to James Madison High School and became a full bled Warhawk and soared in football, starting two-ways on Varsity and wrestling his way to States. All his commitment, dedication and determination lead him to earn a full scholarship at N.C. State University when he became a part of the Wolfpack family. He played 1983-1988. After Graduating with a business degree, he started a beautiful family while traveling through a journey which led him to find his way back home JMHS, earning his masters Degree, becoming a Special Education Teacher and Head football Coach. Lenny Schultz (born December 13, 1933) is an American retired comedian who performed during the 1970s on television and at comedy clubs in New York City. His madcap style of improvisational comedy influenced other comedians such as Robin Williams, Gallagher, Carrot Top, and David Letterman.

Biography

Born in The Bronx,[1] he began making other children laugh at age eight by imitating chickens, making sound effects, and doing voices.[2][3] Originally hoping for a career as a Major League Baseball pitcher, at 18 Schultz was offered a contract by a New York Yankee-owned minor league team.[4] A shoulder injury compelled him to turn down the contract and ended his athletic career.[2]

Instead he went to college, earning a bachelor of science degree from New York University and a master of science degree in Education from Hunter College.[2] After serving in the United States Army in Special Services, he became a high school gym teacher in 1955, teaching at suc
